My Quirks

I don't really want to put all the rules and that stuff... So here are some of my quirks, and believe me, there are more than this. :)


1. I hate hate HATE it when people read the same paper/screen/book over my shoulder, or right next to me. It's the worst for me with the newspaper. After I figure out that someone is reading the same thing as me, I either turn the screen off or move the paper back and forth so they can't read it.

2. I also have to have every door that I can see from my bed shut before I go to sleep; my closet doors, my door, and sometimes even my mudroom door which is completely out of view to me. It also has to be close to pitch black, so I cover my cell phone, iPod, and anything else that could produce an annoying glow.

3. When I go downstairs to my bedroom to go to bed, I'm usually the last one up in my house, so all the lights up and downstairs are off. When I make my way anywhere throughout my house though, I have to have lights on, so I come from the mudroom with the light on, down to the stairs to turn that light on, back to the mudroom to turn that light off and close the door, down to my bathroom to turn the light on, back to the stairs to turn that light off, to my room to turn that light on, back to the bathroom to turn the light off, and finally back to my room. Just writing that makes me tired.

4. I set my alarm for about a half hour to an hour and a half earlier than when I need to wake up, just so I can press snooze a lot, and feel like I'm sleeping in.

5. I HATE eating a sandwich with the condiments (mustard, mayo, etc.) and lettuce on bottom. They do this at Subway all the time, and then I have to eat the sandwich upside down, so the condiments are on top, and this makes me look like a fool.

6. Sometimes I get in these house-cleaning moods where I just want to go crazy and clean/organize anything and everything. This usually happens when my parents go out of town; I think it's because I don't like to clean when they tell me I have to. That's right, I 'm a rebel. :)

7. (I thought of another one) In my car, when you turn it off and take the keys out of the ignition, my stereo makes five loud beeps, and I always have to be out of the car before the beeping stops.

8. (I thought of another another one) I absolutely hate people that are fake!! You don't necessarily have to be fake, but flirty, or annoying, or afraid to be made fun of for your mistakes or 'quirks' or stuff like that. URGH just thinking about this makes me so angry!




Wow, this turned out to be a little bit of a "steam release" for me. Nice.

Not really, though. I hate "releasing steam" to others too.





p.s.(Ali and I went to Vegas this past weekend for a Thanksgiving tournament, and I'll post on that later, even though Ali's team did better than mine.)
