Hello, we haven't spoken in awhile. As of right now, I don't know what this post will entail, but maybe it will come out to be something great.
After reading Kate's blog, I'm in the lists mood. Maybe I will make a list. Yes.
Top 15 things I love to do:
1. Play soccer without getting hurt. Heck, I love it either way, but dealing with the injuries after the game(s) sucks hardcore. I tore my left MCL in October, so that knee is still incredibly stiff and hard to bend, and during my game on Saturday, I was tripped and proceeded to skin my right knee (I would have skinned my left knee as well, but I was wearing a brace at the time). Let me tell you, not being able to fully use both knees is much harder than it seems.
2. Come across and write down amazing quotes from movies/books/etc. I've never seen before or have seen 20+ times before and never quite realized the quote was there. I keep a quote journal. It'd be my one item to grab if my house was on fire. That, and my sister. But that's besides the point.
3. Find a marvelous house or building I've mindlessly passed tons of times and never really realized it's been there. I've lived in Centerville for 9+ years now and I still do this at least weekly, sometimes more.
4. Go to weddings. I'm definitely a non-pink-wearing, play football in the mud type of girl, but something about weddings/receptions intrigues me. I've even contemplated being a wedding planner, but, well, I just don't know about that.
5. People-watch. This makes me sound like a creep, but it's seriously one of my favorite pasttimes. Sometimes I spend a couple minutes throughout my schoolday just to observe the relationships between different groups of people at my school. This then makes me want to be done with high school even more, which is not usually a good thing, as I'm almost bedstricken (I just made a new word...?) with Senioritis.
6. Organize. Just don't ask my room. Whenever I'm bored and have absolutely nothing else to do, I organize and clean. I'm never quite finished though... Maybe I'm just OCD. I took a quiz on Facebook and it told me I was.
7. Pretend I'm artistic. I've always envied the "art" kids. Being creative and expressive has always seemed like it comes easy to them. All I want to do is be able to draw amazing doodles on the sides of my math homework.
8. Park far away at all public outings. I do this for two reasons: 1.) more people park closer by the store, etc., which means more likelihood of getting door-dings on my car, and 2.) I love to force myself to exercise, and more feet away from the store = more steps I have to take.
9. Be sarcastic. Ok, I don't exactly love this, but you'd think so by how much I use sarcasm. It's so bad. Nine times out of ten it's taken the wrong way by people, which is probably why I only have two really close friends.
10. Mentally accessorize and de-accessorize. This could be classified as a habit of mine, but I do this to practically everyone. Call me shallow, but I look at what anyone/everyone is wearing and then I think of how I would add more to, change, or take more away from their "outfit". It's a rare gem when I find someone who doesn't need any of my mental alterations. My YSA teacher today was one of them.
11. Flip tails-up pennies to heads-up and then walk away. If I can't have the good luck, at least someone else can. I've gotten many strange looks for this.
12. Watch shark shows by myself with my feet curled up on the couch. There's a week during July dubbed "Shark Week" where The Discovery Channel plays nonstop, 24/7 shark shows, and I'm always watching. I put my feet up on the couch because I self-consciously pretend the couch is a boat, the carpet is shark-infested waters, and I'm adrift at sea.
13. Have crazy conversations with myself. I've always said that if I was ever stranded on a deserted island alone, I wouldn't go crazy because I'd have plenty of people to talk to: me, myself, and I. I'll often catch myself having conversations with myself with fictional characters and voices.
14. Buy shoes. Uccggh, I really should stop. My parents call me Imelda Marcos(who owned over 3000 pairs of shoes) whenever I bring a new pair home. I disagree, as I've only got 52 pairs, not 3000.I don't know what it is about shoes, but I love them. I think they bring a certain sense of personality to the person wearing them.
15. Donate blood. I love it. I love the feeling knowing I could actually be saving a life with the pint of blood I give. (The abundant offering of sweets afterwards doesn't hurt either.) Most people loathe needles, but I think it's absolutely fascinating. I watch them stick me and ask questions the whole time.

2. Here's my current fav. "I play the notes, but it's God that makes the music." J.S. Bach
5. I do it too. Fascinating.
8. I do too. For the exersize and because I suck at parking and don't want to ding other peoples' cars.
14. I love shoes too. Do you have a 1318 in Utah? That's my favorite shoe store.
