In Honor Of The Fallen

Remember the day....

You remember where you were, what you were doing.... Remember all the 2,996 innocent lives that were taken.... Remember the shock New York felt with each attack/collapse, as well as the shock the nation was rocketed with.... Remember those who rushed in, as others streamed out.... Remember all the families left behind by loved ones.... Remember the haunting silence as the dust settled on the streets of Manhattan.... Remember each painful tear that was shed.... Remember each hero.... Remember the day that changed all of our lives.... Remember why our country is "The Land Of The Free, And The Home Of The Brave".... Remember why we stand taller now than ever before.

In Memory and Honor of the Fallen:

'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL'

You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news On September 11, 2001. Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK..I am ready to go.'

I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said. 'Of course I will show you the way home - only believe in Me now.'

I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered.

I was on all four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them.

I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan .

I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me for the first time on the 86th floor. Some sought Me with their last breath. Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; 'Come to Me... this way... take my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me. But, I was there.

I did not place you in the Tower that day. You may not know why, but I do. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me?

Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are 'ready to go. '

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

[In The Arms Of An] Angel: By Sarah McLachlan

Spend all your time waiting

For a break that would make it okay

There's always one reason

To feel not good enough

And its hard at the end of the day

I need some distraction

Oh beautiful release

Memory seeps from my veins

Let me be empty

And weightless and maybe

Ill find some peace tonight

In the arms of an angel

Fly away from here

From this dark cold hotel room

And the endlessness that you fear

You are pulled from the wreckage

Of your silent reverie

You're in the arms of the angel

May you find some comfort there

So tired of the straight line

And everywhere you turn

There's vultures and thieves at your back

And the storm keeps on twisting

You keep on building the lie

That you make up for all that you lack

It dont make no difference

Escaping one last time

It's easier to believe in this sweet madness oh

This glorious sadness that brings me to my knees

In the arms of an angel

Fly away from here

From this dark cold hotel room

And the endlessness that you fear

You are pulled from the wreckage

Of your silent reverie

You're in the arms of the angel

May you find some comfort there

You're in the arms of the angel

May you find some comfort here

Shine Your Light: By Robbie Robertson

The cry of the city like a siren's song

Wailing over the rooftops the whole night long

Saw a shooting star like a diamond in the sky

Must be someone's soul passing by

These are the streets

Where we used to run

Where your Papa's from

These are the days

Where you become what you become

These are the streets

Where the story's told

The truth unfolds

Darkness settles in

Shine your light down on me

Lift me up so I can see

Shine your light when you're gone

Give me the strength

To carry on, carry on

Don't wanna be a hero

Just an everyday man

Trying to do the job the very best he can

But now it's like living on borrowed time

Out on the rim, over the line

Always tempting fate like a game of chance

Never wanna stick around to the very last dance

Sometimes i stumble and take a hard fall

Lose hold of your grip off the wall

Shine your light down on me

Lift me up so I can see

Shine your light when you're gone

Give me the strength to carry on

Carry on

I thought i saw him walking by the side of the road

Maybe trying to find his way home

He's here but not here

He's gone but not gone

Just hope he knows if I get lost

Shine your light down on me

Lift me up so I can see

Shine your light when you're gone

Give me the strength to carry on

To carry on

That looked like it took you a while to put together. But really, what a powerful event. It changed a lot of things in America.
